Learning and Development Lead

The Learning and Development Lead designs and implements initiatives and programs that support Elevate’s strategy for the continued professional learning and development of its employees. The role works closely with business leaders, the People team, and individual employees to ensure high-quality and effective delivery of programs. Specifically, the Learning and Development Lead will focus on organizational career pathing and developmental training.

The Learning and Development Lead reports directly to the Chief People Officer. This position is located in Chicago, Illinois and is primarily remote, but there will be instances in which onsite visits and travel are required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in learning and development, consulting with leaders on effective training and career development strategies and promoting awareness of existing programs.
  • Consult with leaders to understand learning and development needs and skill gaps and to define initiatives.
  • Design, develop, and deliver standardized learning and development programs to best suit the organization’s needs.
  • Deploy different types of learning methods٫ such as coaching٫ e-learning courses٫ workshops, and other trainings.
  • Collaborate with leaders to create and implement career pathing for organizational roles and individuals.
  • Identify and partner with learning resources to build and deliver focused development.
  • Implement, measure, and track the effectiveness and impact of the learning and development solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or similar field
  • Minimum of five (5+) years of experience in the field of human resources, with a focus on learning and training development
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning concepts, training and development theories and techniques, and organization development, including ability to complete a full learning cycle (assessment, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate)
  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly organize materials, prioritize, and coordinate tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, excellence, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills (oral and written), as well as the ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization, including executive leadership
  • Ability to successfully work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong skills within Microsoft Suite

Compensation

The total compensation for this position includes health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.), defined contribution benefit (401k with contribution), professional development, generous paid time off policies, and a flexible schedule. This is an exempt individual contributor position with a salary range of $80,000 – $100,000, based on experience.
