Have fun doing work that matters

We have a simple formula to attract and keep the best people: Give them challenging and important problems to solve, provide a supportive and collaborative office environment, reward them for their efforts, and remember to have some fun.

What we believe

Our goal of smarter energy use for all reflects our belief that everything we do—as an organization and individuals—needs to reinforce an ethos of practicality, learning, and equity. We make professional development a priority, dedicating time and resources so staff can build their skills to help the organization grow and have more impact. We know that people thrive in environments where they feel appreciated and secure, so we provide competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a high level of flexibility in accommodating the needs of each individual.

Our motley crew

Veterans of the utility and construction industry mix comfortably with recent college grads. Community organizers collaborate with seasoned marketers. Electrical engineers and former English majors write joint grant proposals, while statisticians and customer service experts fine-tune our programs. We have monthly potluck lunches, office yoga classes and a running club, and at least once a year we play kickball.

Want to join us?

We’re growing. And growing. Check out our open positions and say hello if you fit the bill.
