Home Accessibility for Older Adults

Elevate provides free home accessibility repairs for eligible older Chicago residents so they can remain in their homes throughout old age.

Elevate is one of several organizations that administers home accessibility repairs through the City of Chicago’s Small Accessibility Repairs for Seniors (SARFS) program.

Repairs may include installing grab bars in the bathroom, adding hand rails, replacing doors, repairing stairs, and more. If a homeowner needs other repairs that we can’t complete through SARFS, we’ll help them find and apply for other programs that may cover the repairs.
